We provide one dataset (Data_Lippenbroek_2022_DataRepository) with three datasheets:
* All
* Penetrologger
* FFF

The parameters of each datasheet are explained below.

*** All ***

SET: measurement location (near which Surface Elevation Table)
Replicate: replicate A, B or C
From_depth_cm: upper boundery of the sediment layer [cm]
To_depth_cm: lower boundary of the sediment layer [cm]
Age: age of the sediment layer [yr]
SSS: reading value of the torvane (to be multiplied with 2.186 to obtain shear strength in kPa)
SSD: reading value of the shear vane (to be multiplied with 0.5 to obtain shear strength in kPa)
PR: average penetration resistance value of the sediment layer [N]
BD: bulk density of the sediment sample [g/cm3]
WC: water content of the sediment sample [%]
D50: median sediment grain size [microm]
Silt: fine fraction content (silt + clay, < 63 microm) [%]
OM: organic matter content through loss on ignition [%]
BGB: belowground biomass [kg/m3]
Ero_3h: erosion of the erosion test sample after 3 hours in the fast flow flume [cm]
Z_2006_mTAW: surface elevation of measurement location in 2006 [m TAW]
Z_2021_mTAW: surface elevation of measurement location in 2021 [m TAW]
Sed_rate_2021_cm/yr: sedimentation rate at measurement location in 2021 [cm/yr]
Sed_rate_avg_cm/yr: average sedimentation rate at measurement location between 2006 and 2021 [cm/yr]
Dist_to_culverts: distance of the measurement location to the culverts in the dike [m]
Dist_to_creek: distance of the measurement location to closest creek branch [m]
IF_2006_%: inundation frequency in 2006 [%]
IF_2021_%: inundation frequency in 2021 [%]

*** Penetrologger ***

Depth_cm: the measurement depth [cm]

The rest of the column headers indicate the measurement location (near which Surface Elevation Table) and replicate. Below are the penetration resistance values for each cm depth, indicated in N.

*** FFF ***

SET: measurement location (near which Surface Elevation Table)
Replicate: replicate A, B or C
Time: time after the start of water flow in the fast flow flume [hr]
Core_height: remaining height of the erosion test sample, starting at 20 [cm]
Erosion: cumulative erosion [cm]
