***General Introduction***
This readme file contains the description for each of the datasets contained in the accompanying file. The contents and acquisition of the data are outlined. The data is made public to support the publication in the naming of this file and to support further work in reforming waste management systems in Jakarta.
***Material Flow Scheme Plastic Packaging in Jakarta, Indonesia***
This file displays the flow scheme for plastic packaging in Jakarta, Indonesia. It contains the routes for handling of plastic packaging from import/domestic sourcing to end of life and recycling. Main routes that can be witnessed across the city are contained. The figure displays material handling actors and processes as rectangles and the flows between them as arrows. The flows are numbered from 1 to 45 to support the mass substantiation for PET plastic in later files. This file was created based on fieldwork in Jakarta and is made using Stan 2.6 software.

***Material Flow Analysis PET Packaging in Jakarta, Indonesia***
This file shows the full material flow analysis for PET Packaging in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is a mass substantiated version of the previous file and is performed for PET plastic packaging. Masses of PET are displayed in their main waste handling routes in Jakarta, moving between waste handling actors and processes (rectangles) in substantiated flows (arrows). The width of arrows corresponds to the masses of PET plastic, which are also displayed numerically in tonnes per annum (t/a). This file was created based on fieldwork in Jakarta and external literary data, using Stan 2.6 software.

***Data Substantiation for MFA PET Packaging in Jakarta***
This file contains the data calculations supporting the material flow analysis for PET plastic in Jakarta, Indonesia. For each of the flows contained in the first file (material flow scheme) a formula is displayed showing the calculation that led to mass substantiation for PET plastic. Calculations are performed between flows and using external data either from fieldwork in Jakarta or from literature. Information on collected data is given and sourcing for external figures shown. The reference list for this is contained after the file. This file was created based on data collected by interview in Jakarta, during fieldwork and using relevant literary data.
***Fieldwork Interview Question Lists Junkshops, Waste banks, Recyclers***
This file contains the lists of questions used to collect data in Jakarta, Indonesia as part of the fieldwork supporting this research. Questions are contained for each of the main waste handling groups. These questions lists led to the collection of data supporting the creation and substantiation of the MFA for PET plastic in Jakarta.
