This datafile contains the survival and growth data of seedlings that were planted behind the oldest EMR-dam in the area.
Seedlings were planted above MSL but below the threshold for natural establishment.

blocknumber: block
ID: seedling ID
species: one of four species that were planted: A. marina, A. alba, R. mucronata, R. apiculata
month: the timepoint at which seedling survival was assessed. Respectively, 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2.5 and 16 months after seedling planting
length: seedling length measured at assessment
sediment_raw: sediment level relative to the monitoring pole in the middle of the plot. This number is arbitrary at baseline, but shows relative bedlevel change compared to baseline for the consecutive assessements
sediment_rel: sediment level relative to baseline
growth: absolute growth from baseline until time of assessment (length tn - length t0)
growth_corr: absolute growth corrected for relative sediment changes. (for instance, if at tn, length = 48 and the bedlevel (sediment_raw) = 66, and at t0 length = 44, and the bedlevel (sediment_raw) = 68, the uncorrected growth would have been 4 cm. But since we also observed a 2 cm increase in the bedlevel, the second length measurment should have been 2 cm longer compared to the original bedlevel. Hence, the corrected growth is 4+2=6 cm).
survival: 1 if seedling was alive at assessment, 0 if dead.
