This dataset is linked to the publication Validated Delft3D4 simulations of three-dimensional turbidity current behaviours over diverse seabed morphologies.

*** General information ***
This dataset contains the input files required to run Delft3D simulations. The results from the simulations are shown in the cited publication above. In the publication, the results are compared to previously published data from experiments at laboratory scale.

*** Organisation of the dataset ***
This dataset is organised in two folders and several sub-folders. The two folders are:
1. Laboratory-scale: input files of models that simulate the flows in de Leeuw et al. (2018) at laboratory scale.
2. Field-scale: Two sub-folders: coarse-grained flows and fine-grained flows.
2.1 Coarse-grained flows: input files of models that simulate the flow conditions in Pohl et al. (2020) at field scale.
2.2 Fine-grained flows: input files of models that simulate the flow conditions (in two sub-sub-folders: low and high discharge) in Garcia and Parker (1996), Mulder and Alexander (2001) and Grey et al. (2005) at field scale.

*** File identification ***
Several files are required to set up models in Delft3D. Below it is included an explanation of the extension of each file and information within the file:
.grd - grid information.
.dep - bathymetry information.
.bnd - boundary conditions.
.bcc - concentration variation through boundaries.
.bct - discharge variation through boundaries.
.sed - sediment information.
.mor - morphology information.
.tra - sediment transport formulation.
.obs - observation point information (optional).
.dis - discharge information (optional).
.ini - initial conditions (optional).
.mdf - master file linking files.
