***General Introduction***
This dataset contains data collected during experiments on crops growth (radish and spinach) using nitrogen fertilizers recovered by an electrochemical system . It is being made public both to act as supplementary data for publication and in order for other researchers to use this data in their own work.
This work was performed in Wetsus, European Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology, between September 2019 and March 2020. This work was also supported by the LIFE-NEWBIES project (LIFE17 ENV/NL/000408).
File: Run_legend.csv - includes ES operational conditions (current density, load ratio, acid dosing) where fertilizers were recovered and their respective composition (pH, ion concentration). The runs here descibed correspond to the runs presented in ES solution analysis.csv.
File: ES solution analysis.csv - includes ion chemical analysis performed to the influent and effluent of the ES, and the recovered fertilizer at the respective moment the sample was taken (T). The samples were submitted for the following analytes: Chloride, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phosphate, Sulphate, Inorganic Carbon (IC), Total Carbon (TC), Sodium (IC), Ammonium, Potassium (IC), Magnesium (IC), Calcium (IC).
File: Crops Data_overall.csv - includes fresh weight (FrL or FrRn), dry weight (RadDrR or SpDrL), and nitrogen content (RadRN or SpLN)) of both radish root and spinach leaves.
File: Soils pH.csv - includes pH measurements of all pots for each treatment (control, Produced (recovered) Ammonium nitrate (AN), Produced ammonium sulphate (AS), Commercial ammonium nitrate and Commercial ammonium sulphate at the beggining (T0), after the first dose (F1), second dose(F2) and harvest (Harv) for both Radish (Rad) and Spinach (Sp).
