DESCRIPTION: This dataset describes a series of experiments on live patches of three aquatic vegetation species in an outdoor flume (located in the experimental garden on the campus of University Lyon 1). The data provided are ADV velocity, turbulence measurements and drag forces on single plants located downstream of the patch.

Species: 		macrophyte species used in the flume experiment and on which drag forces were measured
PatchSize: 		size of the patch used in the experiment (defined by a certain Width (W) and Length (L))
LongitudinalDist: 	location of the drag force measurement, as longitudinal distance from the patch downstream edge (m)
NormalizedVel: 		depth-averaged velocity in the same location as the drag force, normalised by the upstream velocity u_0 (u_mean/u_0)
DragForce: 		drag force per total leaf area (N/m^2)
UncertaintyDragForce: 	uncertainty of the drag force measurement per total leaf area (N/m^2)
